A wonderful place in a nice area at a very affordable price!
As other folks mentioned, you could hear planes flying by (I could see them climbing clearly), but at least it was not too loud and had no impact on my sleep. If you're a tourist, you will get really tired after spending the whole day walking around the city, and this much noise is nothing.
The neighbor hood is very safe. The building has facial recognition device and 24hr on duty staff at the front door. If you don't speak Portuguese, just use google translate and even the security staff from the next building will come to help.
Make sure you contact the building manager a few days in advance. They will ask you fill out a precheck in form, and they will text you (via What'app) room lock code and wifi password one day before you check in.
