About this cabin rental
Welcome to our little piece of paradise in the mountains of Boone NC! A Mountain Dream Cabin is far enough from civilization to be secluded, yet close enough to town & local attractions to be more than convenient. Located only 10 quick miles outside of Boone, NC in the exclusive log cabin community of Twin Hollows. A Mountain Dream has every amenity to make your stay as comfortable, pleasant and stress free as you could ever imagine.
Hurricane recovery update:
From our Boone Area Chamber of Commerce with Town of Boone North Carolina and Explore Boone:
We welcome Appalachian State students back to Boone and our fall visitors are beginning to seek the beauty of autumn in the mountains once again.
Thanks to the tireless work of utility and construction crews, Boone and Blowing Rock have largely recovered from the storm’s impacts. Primary and most secondary roads have been repaired, though occasional lane closures and the need for alternate routes still exist in many areas.
Many of our retail and restaurant partners are open for business, including those in downtown Boone as well as other popular areas across the community. Please note that a curfew remains in effect from 11PM to 7AM daily throughout Watauga County
A Mountain Dream Cabin itself is fine too. Had a tree come thru the back porch roof but that has been patched. In the grand scheme of things we were very blessed/lucky that that was all the damage we incurred.
The resilience of our community and the outpouring of support from off the mountain has gotten us to this point.
With all that being so eloquently said, we welcome you back to our community with open arms. The businesses and restaurants are very much look forward to serving you again and seeing your smiling faces!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. I would say three things would have made it better. 1) there is no view. There are a few trees that could be cut down and then the view from the hot tub would be wonderful. 2) the beds are old. Buying a couple bed in the box hybrid mattresses would have made sleep more enjoyable. 3) having a professional pest control come out and spray would have been great. Wife found ants and spiders. If those three things would have been done I'd have given a 5. If those three things get done I'd come back, no hesitation and would encourage others as well.
