Remodeled in 2023, the property is a wonderful place for families and friends to experience the mountains in comfort. Located in historic Valle Crucis, we are within 30 minutes or less of the area's popular attractions including Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock, Appalachian State University, Beech and Sugar Mountains, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, and countless outdoor adventures! At Helen's House, you can expect to find all of the special touches that make any house a home, including decor to celebrate the changing seasons and holidays throughout the year and ample indoor and outdoor spaces for having fun or relaxing.

This property was perfectly described as a cozy mountain hideaway! Up a well maintained driveway, so off the road a bit. Heat and AC worked well and it was located near a favorite park and family in Valle Crucis. Also, not far at all from Boone if you are visiting there. We would definitely stay here again. It is good the owner added instruction on locating it as we still went up the road next door before locating the driveway. We found the easy way to locate it, after dark especially, was see the multiple mailboxes next door, then the single and marked box here. Great place with really front porch and living room. Book this place!

This was a very comfy space with plenty of room for our group! It was clean, cozy, and a joy to stay in. We easily drove to skiing at beech mountain from this as our home base!

This is one of the cleanest homes we’ve rented, kitchen and bathrooms are spotless. Appliances and kitchen stuff are all clean and well-organized. The living spaces are very cozy, esp with the fireplace on. It made up for the rainy nights so we cannot use the firepit. Mast Gen store is nearby and was very pleasant and interesting. Highly recommended for families with pets
