Gîte La Gravière. Une Maison de Famille Entre Vignes et Océan à 1h de Bordeaux

The cottage La Gravière is our family's holiday home. Its tropical décor is a nod to the 10 years of happiness we have lived in Brazil. We live 50m from the cottage and will be very happy to advise you on activities in the area. For an additional fee, you can even take part in yoga classes, treat yourself to a massage or enjoy the jacuzzi and sauna of the SPA of the Château's guest rooms.
The cottage has been completely redone inside and out with the charm of stone. It is very well insulated and thanks to its air-to-air heat pump, the temperature is mild, summer and winter.
Its kitchen/dining area, spacious with its high ceilings, is fully equipped (dishwasher, oven, gas stove, refrigerator, freezer, coffee machine, espresso, washing machine...). From the sofa, we have a view of 1,000 m² of garden. There is even an office for those who practice "tarcances".
Its swimming pool is an asset for happy moments with friends or family and a successful holiday.
Whether you prefer a sun lounger or a hammock, you are sure to find what you are looking for!
La Gravière is 2 steps from the charming village of Vertheuil, its café restaurant is a good option for lunch on the terrace on the park of the 12th century abbey which is the pride of the inhabitants. You will also find a very good takeaway pizza, a bakery and a grocery store for the basics. The supermarkets are 10 minutes away by car but above all, we have a whole network of small organic producers (vegetables, fruits, eggs, goat's cheese, honey, wines...).
Between Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe, our cottage is located on the road to the castles of the Médoc, it is an opportunity to visit a winery and discover a world of enthusiasts. Grand cru classé, cru bourgeois or artisan cru, organic or not, there is something for all tastes and all budgets.
But the region is also the Médoc Atlantique. Its long wild beaches popular with surfers, its small restaurants where you can taste the oysters and prawns produced on the estuary. Not to mention the lakes (Hourtin and Lacanau) where you can practice water sports (wake, foil, kite, stand-up) and take beautiful bike rides in the shade of the pine trees.
And don't forget, here we are in the heart of the Médoc Natural Park, ideal for walking or cycling, on country roads, in the forest, on the edge of the vineyards.
