About this chalet rental
An insider tip for everyone who is looking for nature and relaxation. The location of this holiday home is hard to beat: right by the sea (a maximum of two minutes on foot and you’re in the water), in nature, with a large private property on a slope and beautiful sea views on a particularly quiet stretch of coast, away from the crowded Salento beaches.
As almost everywhere on the southernmost Adriatic coast of Salento, the coast here is predominantly rocky. However, the house is on a relatively flat section, in a place called “Scalamasciu”, which is less known even to the locals. Here the sea can be reached via a pleasant path with a few steps; you get into the water easily, only sandals are recommended. The small, natural pools with shallow water are great fun for children.
The house offers a pretty terrace with sea views (partly shaded), a large living room with open kitchen and fireplace, three bedrooms (one with sea view and one with separate beds) and a bathroom with shower. There is an additional single bed in the living room and an external shower outside.
The furnishings are simple but functional, with a brand new kitchen with beautiful Apricena marble kitchen top; washing machine, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are available. There is no air conditioning, but the eastern exposure, the thick walls, the surrounding trees and some fans mitigate the summer heat. The windows are equipped with mosquito nets. A stone BBQ is also available.
A heated outdoor whirlpool is at your exclusive disposal on the terrace. Enjoy pure relaxation in daylight or in the moonlight, with a glass of Prosecco or a good book, look at the azure blue sea below you and forget the stress of everyday life with individually adjustable water temperature (maximum 40 °C) as often as you wish. The whirlpool will be opened for you on request; it can be used all year round, including (or even more so!) in winter. The surcharge is €120 setup costs €15 per day, which includes the cleaning and disinfection of the whirlpool approx. twice a week and with every guest change.
Please note that the house can only be reached via stone stairs (approx. 40 steps); access is therefore not barrier-free.
Excellent restaurants and supermarkets can be reached within a few minutes by car; there is also one restaurant in walking distance, not open the whole year though.
Sheets, duvets and towels are not included. If you don't want to bring them with you from home, regardless of the length of your stay, you can rent them for €26 per person.
Final cleaning is not included and costs €120, unless you clean yourselves before departure.
Dogs and pets are welcome, if you inform us in advance! Surcharge: €150 for the 1st one, €75 each for the others. Usually max 1 large or 2 small ones are allowed, but exceptions might be possible upon request.
We will ask you to pay a security deposit of €600 before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage.
Electricity costs (and thus where applicable AC, hot water, heating etc.) are NOT included in the price and will be charged based on your actual consumption. The price per kWh charged to guests was €0,42 on 06/01/2026, when this text was last updated. Prices may slightly change over time.

We are obliged by law to verify the identity of all our guests. We will therefore ask you to upload copies of your IDs on our (secure) website to verify your identity before handing out the key code for the accommodation. Parties, gatherings, events or loud music are not allowed at this property unless explicitly authorised beforehand by us in writing.
In case the local municipality charges a tourist tax, we will ask you to pay this separately to us and we will transfer it to the local authorities as required by law.
Please note that, like for all houses in Italy, the power allowance of the house is limited and you might not be able to always use all electric appliances simultaneously. No need to worry: most guests don't even notice this limitation.
Unlimited wifi is included in the price for normal use. Fair use policies might apply. Please note that we cannot guarantee any specific connection speed nor coverage across all rooms in the building. We're happy to provide more details upon request.

Just remote enough, with terrace overlooking rocky coast and the Adriatic within a 3 minute walk.

We booked our stay only two days before the arrival and thanks to the team of wowhomes everything was perfectly organised. The house was perfectly clean and is big enough for 6 people and equiped with all the basic things you need to cook a simple meal. We enjoyed having breakfast and dinner on the huge table outside. There's an outdoor shower hidden behind the vegetation where you can cool down from the summer heat - we loved it. The sea is very close, nearest spot to get into is realy only 2-3 min by foot. Getting into the water is not that simple for children because of the rocks and we used this spot only in the early morning when there was no wind an the sea was gentle. But if you follow the street in front of the house for only some hundret meters, there a several more spots for bathing that are more protected from wind and waves were getting into (and out of) the water is easy. If you are traveling with children below the age of about ten years, we would recommend booking the pool of the house - then you can enjoy your book and the children can take their bath in front of the house :-) After all, we absolutely loved this place, absolutely quiet and great for relaxing. Restaurants are about 10 minutes by car - you can choose from a lot that offer great typical food. Supermarket is also about 10 minutes by car. Thanks to the great team that always replied to our questiones within some minutes by whatsapp chat - never had a service like this bevor to be honest.
