Extremely dishonest practices and a serious lack of professionalism.
I am deeply disappointed with both the booking process and the stay at this property. The most serious issue was the requirement to send a scan of my ID after making a non-refundable payment, something that was never clearly stated in advance. I only received this demand after my reservation was confirmed by Booking.com, which gave me a false sense of security that everything had been properly arranged.
The property owner began to insist – persistently and inappropriately – that I neee send a scan of my ID outside of Booking’s platform, via private email or WhatsApp. I wrote that I can show proof in place- but it was unanswered. No attempt to help the object to confirm my identity in a different way.
This is completely unprofessional and unacceptable in terms of data protection. Even though I sent the document several times through the official Booking contact form, I received conflicting and misleading responses: first that the message hadn’t arrived, then that the email was invalid, and finally that the message was received without the attachment. Under pressure and afraid of losing my booking and what is more important MY MONEY, I was forced to send the scan via WhatsApp. This is entirely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the safety of guests’ personal data.
In addition, before I even arrived, the owner asked me to leave a 10/10 review – something completely inappropriate and unethical. Quote: "Also, please don’t forget to give us a great 10 Star review." Congratulations on the confidence and uniqueness and luxurious of this object!
The property itself is far from what can be called “luxury.” The frying pan and saucepan were badly damaged and unusable. The dishwashing liquid was almost transparent – clearly watered down. Worst of all, the bedding was visibly unwashed – heavily creased and unpleasant to the touch.
