Casa La Pineta

The house is in a great location overlooking the town. The view from the outdoor areas - an undercover dining area and an open soft seating area - were the highlights. While they were too hot to use during the day when we visited, they made for excellent evenings overlooking the town and sea. Despite being situated above the town, the walk down to the main street only takes a couple of minutes so the house was excellently positioned. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the main free swimming area, where the water was crystal clear and the swimming off the rocks was genuinely memorable. There was also always parking available in the street ouside the house.

The house needed airing when we arrived and there were a few surprises - we'd missed the fact there's no wifi so pay close attention to the fine print in the ad. There was also no TV despite the booking details saying there was - that wouldn't usually be an issue for us but we visited during the Football World Cup so weren't able to watch games as we'd hoped. The basic supplies in the house were lacking - we received a tiny starter pack with one dishwashing tablet, etc, for a whole week's stay. The front door and front gate didn't lock during our stay but this was quickly resolved after we reported it.
