The Beeches is a lovely cottage near Windermere. It was a great base for exploring the lakes with my children. It is quiet and set in a lovely area of woodland - we saw Deer each morning. The cottage is comfy and well equipped and had all we needed for a week stay over Easter.
I don't have any suggested improvements.

Location was perfect for my desires. We saw the deer early in the morning and my children were delighted. Enjoyed the woodburning fireplace at night.

I loved the location. Very little light pollution so on the clear night we enjoyed the glory of the heavens.
I loved the well water, and the room I slept in was a total blackout so I slept wonderfully.
In the morning deer roamed in the grounds, it was perfect!
The water pump in the kitchen was noisy and it would have been good to have a basket of logs to start us of with the fire however it wasn’t cold enough to justify having one.
There were no black bags under the sink for us to place our bedding on departure.

The scenery from the windows is lovely. There was plenty of space for our 4 person party.
Essentially, there is no care in the property. Little things that make you feel like you are a welcome guest are missing. Some examples include limited toilet paper, tea, paper towels. All of these small niceties really make you feel welcome. There is also a command to strip the beds & remove the trash which is not a problem, but when the hosts haven't gone out of their way to make you feel welcome, it's irritating to be asked to do something that most accommodations don't ask you to do.
Communication with the "host" (if you can call them that) is absent. We needed assistance with the shower & received messages hours after our inquiry (with no help). There's no way to get in contact with the host other than the Booking messaging app. There is an urgent number provided but they have listed items not considered urgent; most problems will not be urgent. We had a problem with the shower. We went two days without use of the shower bc the communication with the host was so bad. Once again... You just get the feeling that you're not important & they don't care about your comfort.
