Really lovely cottage in very scenic spot. Easy to get to windermere and bowness. Some really picturesque walks nearby. The cottage was cosy and comfortable.

Would have been good to have more toilet paper and bin bags provided.

Een schitterende locatie midden in de natuur op 5 minuten rijden van het drukke centrum van Windermere. Buiten hoor je alleen natuurgeluiden, wij hebben 16 verschillende vogels gespot maar er zijn er ongetwijfeld meer. Herten lopen door de tuin en ook eekhoorns. Prachtige wandelingen zijn er te maken en houd je van drukte dan ben je zo in het drukke centrum waar genoeg winkels en horeca en vele activiteiten zijn.

Kleine tip voor de eigenaar: de koekepan is aan vervanging toe en misschien een topper op de matrassen.

The Beeches is a lovely cottage near Windermere. It was a great base for exploring the lakes with my children. It is quiet and set in a lovely area of woodland - we saw Deer each morning. The cottage is comfy and well equipped and had all we needed for a week stay over Easter.

I don't have any suggested improvements.

The scenery from the windows is lovely. There was plenty of space for our 4 person party.

Essentially, there is no care in the property. Little things that make you feel like you are a welcome guest are missing. Some examples include limited toilet paper, tea, paper towels. All of these small niceties really make you feel welcome. There is also a command to strip the beds & remove the trash which is not a problem, but when the hosts haven't gone out of their way to make you feel welcome, it's irritating to be asked to do something that most accommodations don't ask you to do. Communication with the "host" (if you can call them that) is absent. We needed assistance with the shower & received messages hours after our inquiry (with no help). There's no way to get in contact with the host other than the Booking messaging app. There is an urgent number provided but they have listed items not considered urgent; most problems will not be urgent. We had a problem with the shower. We went two days without use of the shower bc the communication with the host was so bad. Once again... You just get the feeling that you're not important & they don't care about your comfort.
