If you plan to stay in Luang Prabang for more than 2 days, then this is highly recommend because of:
- value for money because it is worth it
- great location even if the night market is 9 mins away - you have a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood
- reception, staff, and the cleaning ladies are so warm and hospitable - always wearing smiles on their faces
- cleanliness is top notch - my room gets cleaned everyday - spot clean!
- i am on intermittent fasting so I only tried the plated breakfast once but it is decent
Do I recommend it? Absolutely, especially for longer stays in Luang Prabang - definitely a value for your money!

I stayed at Fides for 5 days in Mid July 2026. I have been to Luang Prabang a few times, and have stayed in a range of hotels (From *** per night to *** per night).
Fides is by far my favourite. Here are the reasons:
1) VERY comfortable bed and pillows. Their bed and pillows are comparable with top 5 star hotels I have stayed in.
2) The rooms are newly and tastefully decorated, and extremely clean.
3) The staff are AMAZING! They make sure I feel very welcomed in the hotel.
4) Low room count. This, combined with the warmth of the staff, I feel like I'm staying at a friend's house instead of a hotel.
5) The breakfast is amazing! It's a set breakfast where you choose how you would like your eggs to be cooked, and it's served with really good baguette (almost Parisian quality baguette), pancake, soup noodle, a bowl of tropical fruits and tea/coffee. Everything is freshly made and generous in portions.
6) Location. This place is 10 mins walk from the night market, so you are away from the crowd and noise, and yet it's very convenient (and relaxing) to walk to the night market.
Since it was low season, the manager showed me how the rest of the rooms look like. I would say the Standard Double Room (or above) are good value for money. If you would like more space, the suites are pretty good since you will have a living area where you can read and relax.

The decoration is extremely clean and comfortable. The bed is comfortable. The breakfast is freshly made for each customer, very delicious.

This place has a fancy look, but really it’s very mid.
The rooms on ground floor have windows opening up into the hallway.. like in a hostel. Also the location isn’t great.
