The shower water can be improved

I stayed here for 3 nights and overall had a really pleasant experience. The location is excellent – it’s just near The Spring Mall, and there’s a pedestrian bridge nearby that makes crossing over to the mall very easy. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Elinor, who personally showed us the car park, studio, gym, and pool. Since it was our first time in Kuching, I also asked her about the Parking Coupons and Parking App for malls, and she explained everything clearly. Though the studio quite small, it had everything we needed. The air-conditioning worked perfectly and kept us comfortable throughout our stay, and the water heater was stable. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and towels were provided. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable (and I really appreciate that the host provided two pillows per person, instead of just one like many homestays). Facilities-wise, the gym and pool on the 6th floor are accessible, which is a nice bonus. However, since a new contract was signed between USS & Citadines Hotel, USS Residents can no longer use the laundry facilities there. That said, there’s a 24-hour laundry just a short walk away, so it wasn’t a big issue. A small note: do bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, as these aren’t provided. But the studio does come with a smart TV where you can watch Netflix, YouTube, and iQiyi, which made our evenings very convenient and enjoyable. Overall, this homestay was comfortable, clean, and well-located, with a friendly and helpful host. Definitely recommended for anyone visiting Kuching.
