Kaikyo View SHIMONOSEKI - Vacation STAY 13684v

The balcony view of Kanmon Bridge was unbeatable, especially at sunrise and sunset. The room was very spacious, the size of a small apartment. The room was clean and the rest of the property, while dated, was kept clean and orderly. The staff didn't speak English but were able to communicate via a translation app on a tablet. Not a complaint here, they were courteous and kind. The public bath with the view of the bridge was very nice, more relaxing than the shower in our room.

The mattresses were terrible. The hotel was very dated and the mattresses felt like they were never updated since the 90's. If you are a taller individual, the shower room may be too small for you. The hotel is somewhat isolated, definitely require a vehicle to come and go. There were no convenience stores within safe walking distance.

Clean, comfortable, great view, good bath.

Not much choice for eating. No easy access to restaurants without a car. They only offered very expensive meals (not family friendly) for dinners.

El hotel esta hermoso y bien ubicado, me encantaron las instalaciones y los servicios. Pero al parecer los extranjeros no son bienvenidos. Pedimos reservar cena y desayuno en el restaurante y el empleado de recepcion nos dijo que no, que cenaramos fuera… pero el restaurante estaba abierto y sirviendo a todos los huespedes japoneses… pero a nosotros no nos permitieron entrar. Me encanta este país pero nunca me habia sentido tan discriminado

朝夕の食事は大変美味しかった。また、桜も満開で絶景であった。スタッフの対応も満足するものである。

常駐のマッサージがなくなり残念。 直接関係ないものの、火の山公園の登山車道とロープウエイが工事中で登れなかった。 また、水曜日は旧秋田商館や旧英国公使館が休館も残念。
