We stayed in a lovely hotel in the heart of Sultanahmed within walking distance to Hagia Sofia Masjid.
Staff were very good and courteous.
We had an issue with a room on arrival but they were very helpful in resolving our concerns

We had a lovely stay at the hotel- we were placed at the basement room for the first night as the room wasn't ready, but the following day we were moved to Seaview room on the upper floor which was amazing. Room is relatively small but that was no issue for us as we mostly stayed outside ans came back for sleep. Room was cleaned everyday with new towels and bedsheets - and it is conveniently a walking distance to Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace which requires early queueing. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Istanbul!

I stayed at Joyway Hotel Istanbul and overall found the property decent; however, there was some confusion regarding the check-in process. The hotel listing mentioned 24-hour check-in, but when we arrived around 10:00 a.m., we were informed that check-in would only be possible around 2:00 p.m. as the rooms were still being cleaned.
Interestingly, about two hours later, after what appeared to be a manager arrived, we were suddenly able to check in, and our room was already ready. This created a bit of uncertainty about the hotel’s internal communication and check-in policy.
While the staff were polite and the facilities met basic expectations, I would recommend that future guests clarify early check-in arrangements in advance, especially for those arriving in the morning. A bit more consistency in communication would make the overall experience much smoother.

We paid for a premium room, however, they overbooked and made us stay in some lousy hotel with no windows and broken aircon.
