    Mad Monkey Phuket saved my Holiday! I have never stayed in a hostel before because the idea of having someone sleeping above me, next to me and under me is as appealing as swallowing a cactus whole. But after what would be a very sad four days staying in a hotel in Bangkok, because not even a continental breakfast and room service can cure loneliness. I discovered the ever alluring "private room" that Mad Monkey Phuket offers and it completely changed my trip for the better. I thought I might feel left out in my little safe haven of social isolation, but I didn't. The staff did a really great job of getting people to socialize and their daily happy hour really does get a room full of people from all over the world to focus in on one goal.... drinking as much free rum as you possibly can within a 30 minute time span. Being a lonely continental breakfast traveler, Mad monkey single handedly changed my opinions of Hostels. My next holiday is in December and I have already booked for Mad Monkey Hai An... Vietnam here I come.
