Nice experience

The staff seems ok and are helpful. But: Noise, noise, noise: day and night. 1) Outside, constant vehicle horns all day and throughout the evening-early morning sleeping hours too! 2) Construction noise starting around 7 am until late afternoon ending sometimes past 6 pm! According to a review I saw on Google Maps, written 2+ years ago, seems this constant construction nonsense (hammering), noise, is an ongoing issue! Like for real? Either the construction crew is inexperienced and lethargically slow, or someone can't make up their mind on what needs to be done? Furthermore, this day and age, why are they using hammers regarding concrete-work/repairs? Any knowledgeable modern and experienced construction agency would be using portable power-tools like pneumatic or cordless equipment. The job would be completed in practically no time at all! Not only that, what I saw personally upon entering the steep vehicle ramp into the basement where the checkin desk is: probably lack of construction knowledge. -My father was a mason and very mechanical plus was the lead man for a prominent construction and masonry company for +25 years. I worked there during my high-school years- And what I saw going on in the hotel basement was unnerving. A worker was beating a concrete-block wall with a sledgehammer. Not realizing what they were doing was inflicting stress-cracks and weakening the upper concrete floor along with the adjoining walls in the process. The block wall spanned approximately 100+ feet wide by about 12 feet height. What they should have done first, was a simple task of cutting/sawing the block wall first with a masonry saw or simply the largest diameter circular saw equipped with a masonry blade - and if needed, 2 cuts (inside and outside). As closely as possible to the upper floor and adjoining walls. Then easily, practically push the block wall over. -Nearly zero stress cracks and an ultra clean looking job. Instead, jagged and rough looking adjoining walls and ceiling. Not to mention the stress cracks on the structure from the intense sledgehammering- The hotel is aged and not brand new either. Be interesting to see if the structure is still intact in the upcoming years. 3) Not only that, an intense amount of fire ants, biting/stinging you. 4) Rock-hard bed mattresses! 5) The cleaning staff enter the rooms without notice; evading your privacy! AN OVERWHELMINGLY N.O. REGARDING THIS PLACE! RUN AWAY!
