This property has a great view of the harbor and a rooftop pool. The staff is very friendly. It is a larger property so the rooms feel very standard issue. Breakfast was very good. My only complaint echoes another reviewer's: there are some type of very small ants that were present in the room during my stay. I found this annoying.
The restaurant, Americos, is excellent. If you value a view and a hotel with a pool that is convenient to the ferry, this is the place. Personally, I would explore other hotel options if I were back in Mindelo, but I would definitely go back to Americos.

Room was nice and view was great, but the shower was clogged and they don't provide drinking water, which is a bit crazy.
Breakfast was decent, but a bit crowded and the pools were pretty tiny.

Our room faced the restaurant so that everyone from there could look into our room. The pool view was minimal, not that it would have been so special but when you write it in our booking... The water in the shower could not flow down the drain which flooded our whole bathroom. There is one option to hang your towel, sorry but that's not fun. Reception was great, wifi and breakfast were good. Location is good, very close to the ferry.
