Nestled in nature, offering peace & tranquillity, close to beaches, with stunning views of the bay and sunsets, is a spacious and well-appointed home away from home (close to all amenities).
Head out to nearby attractions with ease, or stay in and have some fun. Splash around in the swim spa during Summer (off in Winter) or relax and watch the starry sky from the hot tub (heated on request May - Sept, Winter). Play a game of table tennis. Mountain bike on the nearby trails or enjoy the myriad of games provided. Enjoy our chooks Rooster, cattery cats and native wildlife all funds go to helping with their upkeep.

Situated just off Okines road, 5 mins from the Dodges Ferry township, it has views across to Seven Mile Beach and a beautiful tree scape to explore right outside the back door. The house is light and airy, attracting all day sun with minimal furnishings and generous living spaces.
The open-plan kitchen/dining room with wonderful big windows immerses you in the beautiful garden. If you love to cook, the kitchen comes well-equipped including a fridge, freezer, gas cook top oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and other cooking essentials like pots, pans, and utensils. Eat around the kitchen island or at the timber dining table, then kick back in the separate living room on one of the comfy lounges to watch TV with most streaming channels provided, or snuggle up and watch TV in bed or by the fire with a good read from a selection of books available. There are 2 air conditioners to provide warmth or cooling.
Three well-appointed bedrooms accommodate six guests The master offers a Queen bed with ensuite, the second and third bedrooms have two single beds that can be zipped together to quickly convert to king beds, as well as essentials for the little ones with 2 porta cots and a portable high chair, plus plenty of toys and books to keep them occupied.
The main bathroom features a shower and a bathtub, as well as all the basics including soap, shampoo and conditioner, and hairdryer.
Work from home at the desk in the living area with wi-fi provided.

What a wonderful location, a hidden gem. Perfect for family stays, with children of all ages. Clean, tidy and well presented. The pool/spa is a wonderful bonus. The beds were perfect, lying on clouds is the best way to describe them. We could not recommend this place more.

About 35 min. from Hobart, this lovely home is tucked away in nature where you're almost guaranteed to see wallabies, pademelons, & many birds, incl. cockatoos. Pretty views of surrounding woods & garden, and distant bay. Could use a new non-stick fry pan, but otherwise, very well equipped kitchen with many condiments, and coffee & tea. Great natural & artificial light. Good water pressure, and we loved the heating lamps in the bathrooms. Excellent heating and AC in kitchen/dining room & heat in master bedroom. Comfy furniture. Mostly quiet except for occasional rooster's crow. Nice to have clothes dryer. Host was both gracious and responsive. Would absolutely stay again.

We truly loved our stay at Dodges Ferry. Vicki was so easy to communicate with.Check in was clear, concise and easy! As was check out.The house had everything we could have needed and being the week before Christmas the kids and I were so delighted to see that the house had been decorated and a Christmas tree was set up in the lounge. Such a beautiful touch!We loved having the chickens nearby and the nightly evening wallabies.The swimspa was so much fun, even though the beach is such a short drive, on the cooler days we could still have a paddle.Thank you for a beautiful time away, we hope to be back!!

A lovely house nestled on a hill that gives it privacy, but is only 5 minutes from civilisation (and excellent coffee!), the beach, or the main road back to Hobart. Do yourself a favour and spend some time here!
