The apartment is located in a quiet area just a few meters from the island’s fine sandy “Südstrand” beach. Restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and bakeries are all within easy walking distance. You’ll also find other recreational options here, such as playgrounds, bike and boat rentals, SUP rentals, beach chair rentals, a surf/kitesurfing school, and a trampoline park.

The Südstrand is by far the most beautiful sandy beach and swimming spot on Fehmarn. The water slopes gently into the sea, making it wonderful for swimming. A paradise for families with children. Our Strandmuschel vacation rental is located about 100 meters from the Südstrand. Our favorite island, Fehmarn, is one of the sunniest regions in Germany. It features endless natural beaches, beautiful cliffs, and many inland lakes. Our favorite spot is the western part of the island, where you can watch the beautiful sunset while barbecuing on the beach. In mid- to late May, many rapeseed fields bloom on this Baltic Sea island. Here, we recommend a scenic flight over the island & a visit to the traditional rapeseed blossom festival in Petersdorf. Kilometers of bike paths invite you to enjoy endless bike rides. On walks along the coast & through the fields, you can get to know and fall in love with the island’s beautiful nature. Take a short break at one of Fehmarn’s many lovely cafés to enjoy homemade tarts and delicious cakes.
Thanks to its many gently sloping beaches, Fehmarn is the ideal place for a family vacation. Children can spend hours on the beach searching for shells, splashing around, digging, & building sandcastles. Fehmarn hosts many events throughout the year. Special children’s programs also ensure the little ones never get bored. From pirate adventures to beach festivals, Easter bonfires, the rapeseed blossom festival, and Oktoberfest in the market square of Burger’s beautiful old town—there’s something for every vacationer. During the season, the many shops in the old town invite you to stroll & shop every day. The cozy cafes and restaurants are wonderful places to relax. From fish sandwiches to three-course meals—enjoy the regional delicacies.
