An exceptional jungle retreat with beautiful, clean rooms and caring staff.

My stay at Sacred Beji by GenuineHost was truly wonderful. The staff is exceptional — kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. The property itself is beautiful, very clean, and peaceful, with an incredibly comfortable bed. The location is simply breathtaking, right in the middle of the jungle, making it feel like a true retreat. What made this stay especially meaningful to me is what happened when I got sick during my visit. I was traveling alone and couldn’t go to a pharmacy to get medication. The staff went far beyond anything I could have expected. They personally went to the pharmacy to get different medicines for me, adjusted my meals so I could eat, regularly checked in on how I was feeling, and even prepared a traditional Balinese medicinal drink. Being sick away from home is never easy, but they made my recovery as comfortable and caring as possible. For that, I am incredibly grateful. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful stay with truly heartfelt hospitality.

The restaurant is beautifully located and fits very well with the overall atmosphere of the property. It is important to note that breakfast is not provided by the restaurant — breakfast was excellent and clearly separate from the restaurant service. As for the restaurant food itself, my experience was mixed. While some guests may enjoy it, the dishes were often not to my personal taste. I understand that taste is subjective, but for me the dishes did not consistently meet the high standard set by the accommodation and the outstanding service of the staff. With some improvements to the kitchen, the restaurant could better match the otherwise excellent experience at Sacred Beji.

I’d rather support locals Balinese-owned places

The food at Jackfruit Restaurant is great. The wildlife in the jungle part of property is captivating. The sound of running water from creeks and waterfalls is awesome. The reception staff are helpful. The bungalow is adorable and bed is very comfortable.

I don’t like that it’s not owned by a Balinese person. Had I know that, I wouldn’t have booked it. Everyone wants to visit Bali because of its unique culture but sadly many Balinese are outcompeted by foreigners & other Indo islanders coming to make money off of Bali. All while Balinese culture is threatened by this, the island is getting trashed, & the Balinese suffer economically. I also wasn’t a fan of the staff at Sacred Beji working under & around my bungalow during the day & night, while I was obviously in the room. Hard to relax with such sounds of maintenance & construction.

The staff make the difference!

The staff were extremely nice, they deserve every single compliment! They are super attentive and react to every petition you make (you can communicate with them through whatsapp at all times). The breakfast is made at the moment and it's delicious! You feel the calm and relaxing environment at all times, it's about 30min away by car from Ubud, and it makes it a very remote and calm area. It still reaches the pick up area included in most tours though. The food at the restaurant was also amazing and the quality-price was great!!

You are literally in the middle of the jungle. The bathroom is outdoors, so refrain from booking if you are scared of most animals (like me). If you are an animal lover or you are simply not very scared of them (like me) that shouldn't be a problem. We only saw one animal during our 3 days-stay on our way to the reception.

Clean and big room with pool and greenery surrounding. Good breakfast and restaurant for dinner. All staff provide excellent service, especially Widi for his high standard of customer care. Highly recommended

Wonderful place to rest in the jungle

This is a little piece of paradise in the jungle. Almost felt like being in an imaginary world. Great atmosphere, incredibly welcoming staff as always in Bali, beautiful pool, great spa experience, nice food choice. Loved the peace and quiet.

Breakfast choice is a tad limited, but that's really trying to find something negative. The hammock are made of a rather tough cord material, so you really need to use a mattress on it (it is given). It's the jungle, so you may encounter some wildlife.

Heaven on earth!!

Absolutely breathtaking! You live in the middle of the jungle while being served by five stars staff! Our villa was Bulbul with rope hammock and jungles views and sounds were unreal!! The room decorations were so authentic and still modern enough to cater for our needs. Very fast internet!! The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our breakfast too done by their kind staff. Highly recommended if you want to disconnect from busy life and recharge your soul with nature.

Honestly nothing was wrong. Just worth mentioning it’s a villa that a bit further away from Ubud centre. So if you want to stay too close to the city, I would say this is not for you. The taxi service via grab is available and drop you at the drop point, then staff picks you up via buggy/golf car. You can walk too. If this is not a concern, GO Ahead and book it!!

It perfectly exceeded our expectations, the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of life.

This stay exceeded our expectations! it was a perfectly serene setting, so peaceful, it felt soul cleansing. At times it seemed that we were the only 2 people in the jungle, it was just the perfect holiday to recharge. There is no need to seek tours, shops or anything else, it was perfect to be amongst the serenity. We ate all our meals at the Jack Fruit restaurant daily as it was of a high standard and the ideal setting. The Staff were exceptional, the menu varied and the Indonesian food exceptional. If you are seeking a true escape, this is it! We cannot wait to return.

The property is a hidden gem away from the hustle bustle at Ubud. Amazing stay and a very very beautiful property. The staff was welcoming and always served us with a smile. Tremendous and Charming

A room in the jungle

Staff is amazing. The villas are in the jungle and the place is really quiet. We loved our stay here.

We didn't know that we need to use a little car to go to the house and then take the stairs for a few minutes... But this is how you can have a calm place, and you can have room service.

I most liked the quiet and serene natural environment and the open-air bathroom. Showering and bathing in the latter was lovely as the bathroom has plants and the forest trees nearby are tall and overlook the bathroom. There was a lovely balcony with a daybed that was great for relaxation surrounded by the sound of cicadas and birds. Walking around the rice fields and along jungle paths to the room was great fun. There is a good restaurant with a nice pool, and the breakfast provided by Sacred Beji was well worth it. Finally, a very reasonable price for the quality of service and accommodation!

It's not so close to Ubud, but as I only went for one night that wasn't something that bothered me. 30 mins in a car to get there.

Amazing stay

What a amazing place, the staff is super friendly, the food is really good, the rooms are amazing! Ami and Nata are the two most beautiful people I've ever met. So friendly and helpful, Ami is basically like your personal assistent! She does everything for you and really goes that extra mile! The room is clean and amazing, you walk through a amazing scenery while you go to your Vila.

There was a bird on the roof that loved to wake me up time to time haha but it was not a big deal. A lil thing I'm quite tall 1,90cm+ and the mirror in the bathroom was a lil bit to low for me to use but also not a problem all western luxury problems we complain about!

شيء محن فله جميله ولكن غير نظيفه ( الفراش ) الفطور سيء المسبح لا يوجد به خصوصية مكشوف على الفله المجاورة و اللي في الاستقبال يكشف على المسبح اذا كنت واقف على المسبح و عزكم الله الحمام ملاصق للاستقبال تقريباً و الحمام مفتوح من الاعلى ف مافي اي خصوصية لانه قريب جداً من الاستقبال فلن ولن اكرر الزيارة

Het ontbijt als je in Sacred beji zit.. Als je vervolgens in het grote restaurant gaat ontbijten moet je bij betalen en als je om cappuccino vraagt aan je eigen kant moet je ook bijbetalen. Het ontbijt in het grote restaurant was perfect! Dat zouden ze ook gewoon moeten serveren voor Sacred Beji of geen bijbetaling vragen.

Tesis tam olarak orman içinde ve doğa, akarsu ve şelalesiyle böyle bir yer arayanlar, her sabah su ve şelale sesiyle uyanmak isteyenlere biçilmiş kaftan.

Beğenmedik denmez orman içinde olmasının verdiği böcek karınca gibi canlılar nadirde olsa olabiliyor. Ama dediğim gibi beğenmedik denemez çok beğendik.

Mooi aangelegde accommodatie met verschillende huisjes in een jungle-achtig gebied met leuke paden en bruggetjes.

Aankomst bij de drop point was lastig. Je moet bellen om de bagage met een golfkarretje te laten ophalen. Helaas klopte het telefoonnummer niet en wij konden niemand bereiken. Uiteindelijk werden wij geholpen door een medewerker die bij de weg werkzaam was. Na 20 min. werden wij dan opgehaald. Geen leuke aankomst. Verder was het voor ons onduidelijk waar je kon ontbijten. Wij hadden incl. ontbijt geboekt, en de eerste ochtend zaten wij in het verkeerde restaurant. Maar het werd netjes voor die ochtend opgelost.

Bester Schlaf in Bali

Extrem schöne Lage neben Wasserfall, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Die Umgebung lädt zum Erkunden ein und das Team versucht schnell zu helfen, wenn es Probleme gibt :)

Es war nicht möglich die Badewanne mit warmen Wasser zu füllen, es ging sich nur für ungefähr 15 cm aus und danach war das Wasser kalt, dies konnte leider nicht repariert werden. Uns wurde aber ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, wo das warme Wasser funktionieren sollte.
