The village of Famara is a lovely, peaceful place, perfect for anyone looking to escape the more touristy areas. The cafés and restaurants are charming, the locals are friendly, and the village has a very authentic feel. Above all, it's a true surfing village! A car is highly recommended if you want to explore the rest of the island. There is a bus service, but not all parts of the island are well connected by public transport. The apartment was comfortable, very clean, and just a short walk from the beach. The beach itself is vast, making it perfect for long walks in either direction.

I was a bit surprised that the shower, toilet, and sink were right next to the bed. I may not have read the description carefully enough, but there isn't a separate bathroom. It wasn't a problem for me since I was traveling alone, but it's something to keep in mind.

Excellent private, secure, self contained studio apartment. Spotlessly clean and perfect for a couple or solo traveller.

The only downside was the open-plan toilet! However, a portable screen was provided in order to create an element of privacy.

The location was very good.

The photos of the apartment hide the fact that the toilet is one meter from the bed without a wall in between. For seven days I had to endure the bad smell (permanent even when using air freshener). The window was blocked from another side and only opened when i asked the owner to do it. The solution I was offered was to pay 35 euros extra more per night in another house.
