Buubble Hotel - Hrosshagi

What a magical experience to sleep in a bubble in the trees with rain and a somewhat muted aurora borealis that was going on behind the clouds. Of course we would’ve loved it if that would be a clear night to see the stars and a perfectly clear aurora. The bed was comfortable. Jacko greeted us and gave us an amazing recommendation for the tomato wine bar. An unforgettable experience to add to the Buubble experience… thumbs up all the way.

Good location. Clean. Modern. Separate toilet and shower facilities. Only short distance from igloo.

No staff present. Need to check email to obtain igloo number. Weather conditions make set up difficult. “Like camping in the rain.”

The bubbles as such are very different from your normal hotel, so that was cool. The place is nice because it has trees.

First, it was freezing cold. Not even with an electric blanket and 3 duvets could we sleep. We woke up super early because of the cold and decided to go right away and avoid any more suffering. There are only 3 toilets working and 2 showers. The complimentary coffee was extra small, literally in an espresso cup so no point in trying to warm up with that. It is way too expensive for what you get. You even hace to check in until 5 pm and leave before 10 am. Privacy is lacking, since the trees are bare in winter (march)anyone passing through can see you sleep.
