House Kochyli

We spent a week on the island as a group of four — two mothers and their adult daughters. Since we had a rental car for the entire stay, we were specifically looking for an apartment in a peaceful setting that would also be a great base for exploring a new place every day. I honestly don’t think we could have chosen a better place to stay. The house itself is absolutely perfect: cozy, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, comfortable, spacious, and very well equipped. All the windows and doors have mosquito screens and shutters. There are beautiful paintings decorating the walls, which we learned were painted by Regina’s daughter. It truly feels like a home I would be happy to live in long-term. Our host, Regina, is incredibly kind, warm, welcoming, and thoughtful. We arrived quite late, and she had prepared water, fruit juice, homemade jams, bread, delicate biscuits, and so many other little treats for us. It was such a lovely welcome, especially since all the shops were already closed by the time we arrived. And this thoughtfulness continued throughout our entire stay, Regina regularly surprised our little group with something delicious. She also gave us lots of useful recommendations about what to see, which beaches were worth visiting, and where to find great food. So it wasn’t only this beautiful island that stole our hearts, but also our always-smiling, warm-hearted host. Thank you so much for everything, Regina! We truly hope that fate will bring us together again someday. :)

La nostra esperienza in questa villetta a Cefalonia è stata semplicemente meravigliosa. La casa era perfetta: pulitissima, arredata con molto gusto e con tutti gli elettrodomestici nuovi. Sembrava davvero di essere i primi ospiti, anche per il piacevole profumo di nuovo. Non mancava nulla per cucinare e sentirsi a casa. All'esterno era circondata da tantissimo fiori dai colori diversi, che rendevano tutto ancora più bello. Ma il vero gioiello di questa casa è la sua proprietaria - Regina. Abita al piano terra e fin dal primo momento ci ha accolti con una gentilezza e una premura davvero speciali. Ci ha dato preziosi consigli su dove andare, cosa vedere e dove mangiare, facendoci scoprire posti meravigliosi. E ogni mattina ci aspettava con dei dolcetti tradizionali greci  fatti in casa. Un gesto semplice, ma che ci ha fatto sentire davvero a casa. Grazie a lei e alla sua meravigliosa casa abbiamo trascorso la vacanza più bella di sempre. Torneremo sicuramente, e spero davvero molto presto. Un posto che porteremo nel cuore

The house was very clean and comfortable for a family of three and the owner was great. We could reach nice beaches in 30-40 mins by car. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful host. Your warmth and amazing hospitality made our stay truly unforgettable. We loved the thoughtful gifts and local tips you shared with us. You made us feel less like guests and more like old friends. We hope to stay with you again in the future.
