Thalia's place

Posizione molto tranquilla con un giardino verde e rigoglioso. Casa dotata di tutto il necessario. In zona market e via con ristoranti nei dintorni, spiagge ampie di sabbia con acqua bassa adatte ai bambini e soprattutto kaminia bellissima e poco affollata. Famiglia eccezionale, disponibile in caso di necessità ma non invadenti. Abbiamo soggiornato con 3 bambini per due settimane e siamo rimasti molto contenti della scelta, la parte sabbiosa si trova praticamente solo a Sud, non è necessario a nostro parere suddividere il soggiorno sull'isola per esplorare la parte Nord in quanto con l'auto in un'ora abbondante si raggiungono quelle località che spesso sono con ciottoli o ghiaia. Dalla vicina Skala partono anche battelli per la visita della parte Nord e delle isole circostanti. Possibile avere contatti per eventuale soggiorno su Argostoli per visitare la parte circostante, sicuramente nei mesi di Luglio e Agosto risulterà un pò affollata, anche per questo la scelta del Thalia's Place a Katelios ci ha lasciato del tutto soddisfatti e rilassati. Torneremo sicuramente!

We stayed with family in Thalia's place and had a really nice time there. It was comfortable, everything you would need and the garden was amazing! To chill in the hammock under the lemon trees was a special feeling. Thalia's parents live next door and they were very friendly and welcoming. They put a lot of effort to look after the house and the garden, and the guests. About 10min drive you can reach Kaminia beach, that is perfect for kids. Long sandy beach, shallow clear water, you can get sun beds or set your own, which we did. There are friendly cats that come to visit. Also some sheep next to the vila. Kids were delighted!

Basically you need a car to go everywhere. As other reviews say, it's about 20min walk to Kateleios village with shops and restaurants. But with smaller kids it is a bit too far and half the way is not lit or have sidewalks. But we had a car so no big issue for us.

It was our first time in Kefalonia and staying at Thalia's place was one key element that made our holiday unforgettable and special. We loved the cleanliness of the house, the impeccable, lovely and welcoming garden, the kindness of our hosts and the position, which was really special, as Katelios beach was at a nice 10 minutes walk from the house. Absolutely recommended, we would really like to go back at Thalia's place as soon as possible!
