Great place. Super cute house

It took me a while to work out how to open the shutters

The style was nice, the place was very comfortable, it accommodated 6 people well

The bathroom wasn’t great; the door didn’t lock properly and a wood door leading to the shower made us antsy about causing the wood to rot. The distance to the nearest train station was a little further than I would’ve liked, but that’s not the fault of the property.

Love the beautiful old school house yet it had a modern bath and kitchen

It was farther away from the train stations than I thought.

Compared to everywhere else we stayed during our visit to Japan, this stay was very spacious and had very nice ambience. The interior design and decor added a lot to our trip. The bedrooms were comfortable and private, and the shower was excellent. The only thing holding this back from a 10/10 is that the location is Asakusa is a bit far from areas in Western Tokyo that you may be interested in as a Tourist (i.e. Shibuya, Shinjuku).

The traditional interior had walls that appeared to be made of paper. While visually very cool, they seemed a bit fragile and we felt we had to stay alert and cautious with our luggage. There were some small areas where the paper had ripped from previous guests. Also if you are 6ft or taller, beware that some of the beams supporting the ceiling are a bit low. In generally you can comfortably stand but you will need to duck at times to avoid hitting your head.
