On our arrival, the owner arranged for us to be met and picked up with our luggage and taken to our accommodation. The owner had thoughtfully left a bottle of wine, water, cakes and fruit to get us started. This allowed us time to settle in and do some daily shopping. Actually, the accommodation is in Pogerola, a hill-side town above Amalfi and around 20 minutes ride by bus but the journey is very scenic which we enjoyed. We liked the breath-taking view from the property, looking over the local church and rooftops, and across the valley to the pretty neighbouring town of Pontone and the mountain tops beyond. We can also see the sea at Amalfi. One night after a thunderstorm, we saw a beautiful, complete double rainbow from our balcony. It was convenient to have a few small shops and some restaurants in the town. Also there is a good bus service from Amalfi sea front up to our accommodation in Pogerola. (It is useful to download the Unico Campania app in order to search for bus times). The balcony is lovely to observe the sunrise and at night, as darkness falls, you can see the lights gradually come on in Pontone. The one bedroom flat had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Having a washing machine was useful, in the summer heat. We liked the green shutters to keep the flat cool during the day and the sliding fly-screen door is also very useful, when the balcony door is open. Amalfi is a perfect location for people wishing to visit other towns on the Amalfi Coast by ferry or bus, with plenty of choice and then, at the end of a busy day, you can relax and enjoy the peace and comfort of the accommodation in Pogerola (even though there are some steps to climb).

Guests should be aware that there two or three flights of steps to get to the accommodation, which is common for the Amalfi coast towns. This was a small price to pay for the outstanding views.

Eine Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Vermieter scheiterte bis zum Tag der Anreise obwohl im Vorfeld über booking sowie sms versucht wurde Einzelheiten zum Check in zu erfahren. Erst nach Kontaktaufnahme mit booking erhielt ich Infos zur Anreise als ich schon am Flughafen war. Dies ist unprofessionell. Wohnung sehr hellhörig somit von früh bis spät Stühle schieben der Nachbarn. Aus diesem Grunde würde ich die Unterkunft nicht empfehlen. Am abreisetag lediglich eine WhatsApp Nachricht mit der Frage wann ich die Wohnung verlasse sehr sehr wortkarg. Aus diesen gründen würde ich hier kein 2. mal mehr buchen

Vi hade egen frukost men däremot åt vi middag på restauranger på orten. Kan varmt rekommenderas. Mycket vänlig värd även hennes man. Vi fick både frukt och vin vid ankomst. Fick skjuts till och från ferien. Helt underbara människor. Kändes som hemma.
