Other things to do in and near La Verkin:
There is a new city park in Hurricane for kids just a couple blocks from the home. In the summer, it has water features, including a splash pad with water spouts for kids to run through. It also has basketball hoops and a playground. Back at the home there are plenty of books, games and puzzles for kids to use while they are there.
The city pool in Hurricane opens May 15th and stays open through Labor Day weekend. It is a very nice outdoor pool with a snack bar.
Southern Utah is a bike lovers paradise! Bike out of the driveway, or take a quick drive to Gooseberry, JEM, or any of the other trails that are nearby (15 minutes from our home). The views from these world class bike trails are stunning and the weather is amazing, especially in the spring and fall, making it especially enjoyable for all day rides. Over the Edge bike shop is really close to our house, so you can get riding tips or trail advice or get things fixed quickly and easily by knowledgeable experts of this area.
There are some parades that come through town, and we think it is fun. July 4th, July 24th, and then Peach Days over labor day weekend. Each of these celebrations includes a fun local parade. They don't last long. People just set their chairs on the front lawn, and the parade goes by.
These great settings are perfect for a picturesque hike and a picnic! Make sure to check out the local ATV trails. Hurricane is ideally situated between the little town of Panguitch and St. George. Get ready for an abundance of great scenery and a truly unforgettable retreat!

We had nine of us in this house - five teens and four adults. The house is in a great location - close to Zion National Park, which we went to every day. The house is incredibly well stocked and the owners have made everything easy - there are phone chargers for use all over the house, plenty of beds and rest areas. The primary bathroom is so nice. We had trouble with the ice maker in the freezer and the Kuerig (wouldn't turn on), but those could have been user errors and there was another coffee pot we used instead. Grocery stores, gas stations, coffee places were all nearby. This was a GREAT stay - highly recommend!

The house was great and just as described! The location was convenient and the neighborhood was quiet. Tons of dishes and appliances in the kitchen to cook. The keurig didn’t work though.

This house was perfect for our small family reunion with 15 people (4 couples, teens, children). We loved the house. There was a big family room for gatherings, a great kitchen, and all the bedrooms and bathrooms needed. The little kids enjoyed playing in the yard and the hot tub was a fun option. The game room in the garage was great for a games tournament. We visited Zion NP and some local attractions and that was super helpful.

We had a lovely Thanksgiving stay. The house has plenty of space. There were 7 adults and 3 kids and we still had extra beds. The big sectional and large TV were perfect for a movie night. My kids enjoyed the play set out back and the nice kitty out that visited. Thank you!
