Good Shepard Homestay

Personally greeted by owner and shown around the property. He was very attentive and quick to respond when I had a question. Very clean and comfortable bed. Perfect location for what I needed. Private parking behind the house was an awesome bonus. Would visit again!

The common kitchen was nice and well stocked with coffee items, dishes, and appliances. The room and bathroom were clean.

I didn’t get any arrival instructions so I had to search around on the app for any way to communicate with someone at the property. Initially, our bathroom had no toilet paper. When I reached out to the host, he never got back to me so I had to search the house myself for a roll of toilet paper. The host let us know that they turn the air conditioner off at night and advised us to open the windows in our room. One of the windows did not have a screen so we left that one close. The other window had a screen so we opened that to cool the room at night. Directly behind the property and our room lives a rooster. He was up crowing before dawn and for the rest of the day. The first night we were there the neighbors directly behind the property were setting off fireworks. The second night, on the same block behind the property, there was an enormous party, complete with very loud music, going on well past midnight. Although I understand and appreciate the wildness of the Los Angeles area, it would have been nice to be able to close the window in order to buffer the noises a little bit. If we had, the temperature would have been uncomfortably hot.
