Deja Blue - Sunny Surfers Getaway on Chevron Island

Great location. Can walk to anything you need: food, supermarkets, cafes, beach, etc. Room was cosy, great for a single person or couple, and very clean and comfortable.

Accomodation is a walk-up, so you wouldn't want a lot of luggage. Had difficulty getting into the lockbox as it was stuck. Due to there being no reception (something I wish I knew about prior to booking), it took 30 mins of trying to get hold of someone who could assist me before I could get into the apartment.

It is well appointed, well position and charming

Obtaining and returning the keys was extremely difficult - so much so that I missed the first night as there was the GC race on and I couldn’t get to the lock box. The team were not very helpful. This could be easily solved by having a lock box at the parade of shops on Thomas drive if I can’t be placed at the actual property

Great location - very quiet but also very close to the strip with lots of lovely restaurants and a small supermarket. post office etc., everything you needed was very close by. The unit was fine for our needs at the time.

The frying pan was unusable and when we requested a replacement, it took three days to get it (we were only booked for 4 nights). We were told we could go and purchase one and get refunded for it but that wasn't really an option. We had booked self contained so that we could eat in at night but instead we had to go out which was not what we wanted after a long day of work.

Easy check in process and easy car parking. Chevron Island nice but lots of construction going on around the area which has noise and traffic. Kitchen was well equipped. The balcony is nice and large.

The living area is very small and there is no air con in the bedroom which is very hot. The complex itself is very noisy, and people live there, have domestics, get up early and slam doors, it’s like an echo chamber. I was woken very early every day and also woken at night with people coming and going. Also, you have to photograph lock box and send to manager upon checkout, otherwise threat of fine which I thought unreasonable, as I was cleaning the entire place before leaving as it is as rules state it has to be left in condition which you found it. It also has quite a few stairs which may bother some people.
