The worst travel experience of my life!!!’ The description is neither honest nor accurate. The place is next to a concrete plant, which is very bad for people with allergies or asthma. It's also not recommended for light sleepers. Because the property is on a construction site, there's constant truck traffic. You can hear all the noise from the main street from the property. The street noise makes it impossible to sleep soundly. There's also the noise from next door (same owner)furniture that scrapes when it's dragged. This is easily solved by using furniture sliders. I was charged in Belizean currency, which isn't disclosed on the website, resulting in an additional charge from my bank for currency conversion. The price I booked was in US dollars. There are dogs around that bark constantly at night and in the early morning. The extra products they offer, like the coffee, are expired. The host has no customer service skills. He's also a harasser. I filed a complaint with Booking.com, and he replied telling me that if I didn't like the property, I should go somewhere else. He's a reactionary and aggressive person. Without authorization or notice, the owner went up to the property. I was in my pajamas, which I felt was an undue intrusion into my privacy. I filed a complaint through Booking.com promptly, but given their poor customer service and handling of sensitive situations, it only made things worse. When Booking.com contacted the owner, he wrote to me at 10:30 pm, an inappropriate time to contact me, changing the agreed-upon check-out time. I asked him not to contact me again, but he started writing incessantly, which amounted to harassment. I was terrified. It was a nightmare. They completely ruined my birthday
