About this apartment rental

Welcome to the Fern, Australia’s first certified Passive House apartment building. Tucked away in Sydney’s Redfern/Eveleigh/Alexandria triangle and close to South Eveleigh’s dining, bars and shopping, it gives you quick access to the area’s highlights. This apartment features a spacious layout with practical design and thoughtful touches, along with a private balcony for unwinding. With Redfern Station and Green Square transport links a short walk away, it’s an easy base for exploring the city.
Step inside through the lobby, where the building’s 15-metre-high living walls create a striking entry before you head up to this second-floor apartment. Inside, the open layout feels bright and spacious, with high windows bringing in plenty of natural light. The bedroom features acoustic block-out, sound-dampening blinds, while the lounge area has motorised retractable blinds so you can filter sunlight as you wish. Step out onto your balcony, where fresh greenery and simple seating create a small alfresco corner to enjoy.

The kitchen is well equipped for home cooking, with a Smeg oven, microwave/grill and induction cooktop, along with Furi knives and Scanpan cookware. The four-seater dining table and breakfast bar give you flexible places for meals, work or planning your day. In the living area, settle onto the couch or recliners and unwind in front of the TV with views toward the balcony.

The bedroom and bathroom provide a comfortable place to rest and freshen up after a long day. The bedroom includes a double bed with crisp linen, built-in storage, shut-out blinds and pops of sublime, one-off local artwork. Triple-glazed doors and windows help keep the space quieter for sleep. The bathroom features double sinks, toiletries, soft towels and stone finishes, and also includes a full-size bathtub for a longer soak when needed. Laundry and ironing facilities are tucked neatly into the hallway cupboard for convenience.

Street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, though there is no dedicated parking on-site. Please note that, as the building is set in a lively inner-city area, you may occasionally hear neighbours or light street activity. It’s a comfortable base to come back to, rest up and prepare for another day exploring the neighbourhood and everything the area has to offer.

Please note: The building is in the process of addressing some long-term maintenance matters, so a few areas of the apartment may show cosmetic wear. This does not impact your stay, and we routinely monitor and refresh the space to keep it clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Portable dehumidifiers are also provided to help maintain air quality and keep the space feeling fresh.
During your stay you will have the entire apartment to yourself. Please make yourself at home!

A playground of opportunity awaits with all of Sydney’s rich culture at your doorstep. In under 10 minutes, discover a plethora of treasures ready to tick off the to-do list, like lush parklands along with trendy cafes and prominent bars. Other treats to enjoy and explore include pools, art galleries and local boutiques that make up an integral part of Redfern’s unique charm.

The South Eveleigh area also provides a vibrant, green landscape teeming with play spaces, innovative technology precincts and charming retailers. Eveleigh’s farmers market held each Saturday brings the best of farm-to-table table to local shoppers each week. Within a few minutes, you’ll also reach the art hub Carriageworks and major company headquarters like CBA or Channel 7.

Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.

We are pet-friendly - please add the number of pets you're travelling with and let us know about your furry friend at the time of booking. We’ll reach out to charge a standard pet fee of $50.

~Long Stays~
Stays of 21 days or more will incur an additional $120 fee, charged separately, to cover the cost of a deep clean and maintain the property's cleanliness after an extended stay. In-stay cleans are available for $275 and include a full cleaning service with professionally laundered fresh linen.

~ Baby Items ~
There is a portable travel cot available at the property which we can set up for you if requested. Unless specified, the portable travel cot will be placed in the primary bedroom of the property.
Note that our portable travel cots do not come with linens (sheets) or pillows. You would need to supply these items yourself. The property also has a highchair available, which we can have set up for you if requested.

~ Tiny Visitors ~
Sydney is a warm, urban city, and occasionally a bug or two may find its way inside, sometimes through a window or balcony door. This property has been professionally treated at the start of summer and a spray is provided as a backup. This can occur and is quite common in city homes, and does not reflect the cleanliness of the property.

Sustainable, refillable toiletries are provided and are intended to be reused, not discarded. These items help reduce single-use plastic waste. If any bottles are thrown away or removed, replacement costs will be charged to the guest.
