Location is ideal and about 1 1/2- 2 blocks to gondola. Across the street from the bus station. Clean with high ceilings and tall plentiful windows which gave a feeling of spaciousness. As others mentioned it is a little inconvenient getting into the place. The entire 4 days a vehicle was parked in the one space allocated for hotel unloading. You carry luggage downstairs to get to an elevator. Some lights in our room were out but they were working on it. They fixed a drain issue right away. The repair team and staff very nice. We found the “hotel” charming and would stay again.

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much. The room was well kept, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room has a small refrigerator and microwave. Hot tub and seating area on the roof with great views of the mountains in all directions. Great location in town, right by the Aspen Mountain gondola.

The property is a bit hard to find since the entrance is below street level. Two sets of stairs going down to the lobby with a door between the first and second set make moving luggage a chore. We arrived in Aspen around 5:30pm on Friday. The door was locked and the code to enter (sent in an email to me a week prior) was invalid. I called a phone number I located in said email and after validating my identity was given the correct code. We entered, then down the second set of stairs to an empty lobby. For a "hotel" to not have any staff on a Friday evening is poor management. There was an envelope with our name and a key. We made our way up via elevator to our room. The room itself was adequate but for the money I've stayed in much nicer hotels and hotel rooms. The carpet was worn, the bathroom was dated and not exceptionally clean. A small dorm fridge was enclosed in a cheap cabinet and just two wine glasses were present. No other glasses for mixing a cocktail or beer were to be found. Furniture was decent and the two beds were comfortable. We made our way up to the rooftop which had nice views and a nice hot tub. The overall location is nicely centered in the bustling downtown of Aspen and near the Gondola. Parking is a major headache as one must park overnight on a residential street. The nearest for us was about 4 blocks away. Aspen is nice but unless you have a reason to be there (I was running a trail race Saturday morning) I'd look elsewhere.
