On the outskirts of Maxwell, the school house is only 10 minutes from the quaint town of Flesherton, 20 minutes from charming Creemore and 30 minutes from the historic main street of Collingwood.
In Winter, Devils Glen Ski Club is 15 minutes east and Beaver Valley Ski Club is 15 minutes west. Blue Mountain Village is 30 minutes north for skiing, boarding and cross country skiing, plus lots of restaurants for enjoying the apres ski. Scandinave spa is near Blue Mountain if you want to pamper yourself with hot baths, massages and other spa treatments. In winter Kolapore's trails convert from mountain biking to miles of cross country skiing. OFSC snowmobile trails nearby.
