Guests staying at a South Lake Tahoe rental must adhere to all City Ordinances. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. In addition, no open flames, no smoking, and parking permits apply. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded under any circumstance. Fines of up to $2000 will be imposed by The City of South Lake Tahoe, without warning, for any violations.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.
Security camera details: There are surveillance cameras throughout Lakeland Village property in the common areas only. There are no surveillance cameras in the home.
Ski shuttle details: Lakeland Village does not provide transportation, but the resort is on the city bus route; however, the city bus system does not go to Heavenly. You can catch the bus with a stop at the Gondola downtown. For additional information, please visit https://www.tahoetransportation.org/transit/.
Dock details: There is a beautiful, large pier with a bench for viewing the Lake. No boat docking, no fishing, no diving or jumping off the dock.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Can't beat the location, just steps from the sand. If you're paying for convenience to beach and location, you can't beat it! Floors were pretty dirty when cleaning up some spilled water shortly after we arrived and a good amount of sand was in a couple beds at arrival. Cleanliness could improve and some of the furniture was pretty beat up (mattresses sagging, pillows lumpy, bed frames not very sturdy/squeeky, etc) and could use some overall maintenance upkeep and freshening up.

Comfortable and great location. Surprised to find the washer and dryer was only one laundramat on the far side of the property. Also, we knew it had no AC, but was surprised to find the windows dont have screens. To cool off upper floors we had to leave windows open and let bugs in as a result. Would not rent this place in July or August. All that said, location is great and most importantly the beds were nice and soft and it had comfortable seating in the living room.

Overall, the place is nice with comfy beds and a lovely view of the lake out your back window. But we faced issue after issue with lack of amenities and unhelpful management, that ultimately warranted the lower rating.
Only 3 days before our trip were we informed on ongoing construction which would result in possible parking issues, noise, and our water being shut off. We arrived at 4pm on the dot and were turned away by the cleaning crew, despite Vacasa telling us they would inform us of cleaning delays.
We cooked dinner and when it was time to take it out of the oven, there were no oven mitts to be found. I texted Vacasa and they said that was something they don’t provide. So apparently they’d prefer we burn our hands? Then I asked where the salt, pepper, and oil were located as their listing on a different booking site said those would be provided. Vacasa replied and said that was an error and it shouldn’t say that.
It’s strange that a place would provide a kitchen filled with all sorts of random things like a rice cooker, electric knife, nice pots (no insulated handles though so you’ll get burned), shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathrooms, but couldn’t be bothered with such basic and inexpensive amenities.
Oh and the screen door that was supposedly fixed was actually just sitting on the back porch. We informed Vacasa and they tried to fix it but failed. The gentleman said someone else had claimed to already fixed it, so their miscommunications were responsible.
