Beside The River

La casa es preciosa, decorada con mucho gusto y unos muebles preciosos de madera y con todas las comodidades. Tiene una puerta que da directamente al canal, ideal para surcar las Backwaters en kayak o en barco. Pero sin duda alguna lo mejor es la hospitalidad de Lisa y los platos deliciosos que nos preparó. La mejor comida que hemos probado durante nuestro viaje a la India!

Nada, todo fue perfecto. Debimos quedarnos más noches.

Everything. It was very special to be welcomed by Lisa and her family. Nothing was too much trouble for Lisa, from cooking dinner to organising boat trips, taxis and an Ayurvedic massage, and even putting up a hammock in the garden for me. The house is in an amazing spot, overlooking the canal with boats going by. It’s surrounded by rivers, canals, lakes and rice paddies which makes it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the unique charm of the backwaters.

Everything! Beautiful homestay run by Lisa who is a wonderful host and amazing cook. We arrived very late and she had a delicious dinner ready for us. In the 3 days that we were there Lisa cooked an incredible amount of typical dishes both for breakfast and dinner, she organised boat trips for us, taxi to return to Kochi and even took us to meet her parents in their heritage home in Allepey. We felt part of the family and were very sad to leave. Will definitely be returning with the rest of our family someday!

I like the property, it’s very nice and river view is so good ,, but there is no food options nearby. I would not recommend. Breakfast we had is not that good .. The bread which host serve is having ants 🐜 in it, But what to say to them, she don’t even check before serving. I don’t like the stay.
