Located at the heart of old quarter. Walking distance to most of the shops and restaurants. Nice options for breakfast considering the price I paid for the room. Nice and accommodating staff.

Initially booked this place for 2 nights at SGD *** for a private room with toilet - Deluxe Double room as it was very near to the limousine bus operator which I wanted to book - Sao Vang Golink and it is inside the Old Quarter which makes walking to many of the must-try F&Bs in the neighborhood. Upon walking in through May’s Cafe to the reception for checking in, the receptionist told me that I booked a room with 2 single beds and told me that rooms with 1 big bed is no longer available as they gave it to other guests already. I had to dig out my booking on Agoda to show her that it is one big bed. And she said she will go and check and she managed to find one room with 1 big bed on the 2nd floor which is not exactly as the room that was shown on Google Map or any of the booking platforms. It has small windows which is blocked out with sticker and you can’t even opened. On the other hand, the room is clean and decent. But there is loud music playing everyday until 11pm or later. I can’t remember as I was too tired and just fell asleep anyway. Occasionally, you might hear rats squeaking outside the only window which does not open - maybe that’s why they pasted the sticker so you can’t see what is hideous behind it. Do not expect much for the breakfast included in your stay - it’s just eggs and 2 slices of white bread (which they might toast for you or not), or you can order the fried rice which seems more tastier but they do not have vegetarian for that. However, their Passionfruit juice is good. If you ask me for my honest opinion if I will return, I will not. But it was decent for the initial 2 nights for rest and recovery before we journey on to the other areas of Northern Vietnam. Definitely try to book your accommodation close to the bus operator you are booking with so you don’t have to walk to far to the pickup point.
