Weekend getaway
We absolutely enjoyed staying in the Foxen Holes for the weekend. It's a very beautiful place away from noise and crowds, connected to.the nature. I can say that the place is perfectly clean, well equipped, and comfortable.
I can't think of anything I didn't like, everything was great and as expected.

lovely peaceful location
lovely peaceful location, felt like you were in middle of nowhere yet minutes from Saundersfoot double aspect in the kitchen was very pleasant, as was view across the valley from kitchen window great to have the meadow & lake for dog, very convenient for first & last walks of the day
very meagre kitchen supplies, bare minimum for four people, just couple serving dishes kitchen was very big while sitting room was very small, seems like rooms should have been other way around given space in the kitchen, could do with bigger kitchen table & comfortable sitting area there

would not stay again
easy access, pretty location, large kitchen diner, good heating
the bats inside the property completely ruined the stay for us. This happened on our penultimate night and resulted in us leaving a day earlier than booked as we had no idea how they got in (we didn't have any windows or doors open) so there was no guarantee it wouldn't happen again. The advice from the host was to leave windows and doors open overnight which obviously left us uncomfortable. I have held off leaving a review in the hopes that the host could provide a good customer service in relation to this event but despite direct contact and contact with booking.com this has not happened (we asked for our final night to be reimbursed due to leaving before we intended to). On the night the bats got in they were flying around the living room and we eventually shut them in the kitchen and then left the backdoor open. I contacted the host immediately, he was not available, he attempted to get someone to help but there was no one available. we considered sleeping in the car but eventually shut ourselves in the bedroom. I have no issues with bats when I am out for a walk, I just didn't want them in the living room of the cottage I paid for. The next day the host was then on site, but made no attempt to check in on us, my husband had to seek him out at another property on the site, the host and the person with him made us feel that this should just be something we would expect and accept. Things go wrong and random things happen, I can appreciate that, but the way you respond is a choice and the response was seriously lacking in good customer service. Edited- in response: Joshua thank you for your response that's actually the first time you have communicated a decision on my request, as all direct comms I had with you, you told me you would let me know and never did. We left the property at 12.41pm I wouldn't describe that as later in the afternoon.

It was an ok stay in a beautiful place.
Location was beautiful
The property hadn’t been attended to as much as we think it should have before we arrived, there were no knives available and we eventually found them all in the dishwasher. No brushes or mops for the floor despite it being pet friendly so we were just walking in our own dirt the whole time and it was raining so it became wet! The bed was extremely uncomfortable also.
