starting off to say that this property is stunning, and have no complaints in any other regard, this is more directed at booking.com so i'm sorry digitslnomadsnest for this coming at you... i'm only wasting my thumbs and time on this in an honest attempt to give what i hope to be useful, but to kick things off by taking accountability for arriving at this property earlier than checkin time. 2 hrs earlier than check in at most. could not drop off our luggage off or contact the host, nor easily discern what to do. i don't think it's the hosts problem per se, but booking.com should do more to ensure that guests and their belongings will be safe when they arrive on site, either by providing way more necessary and direct clear "what next" info before and after booking, as well as making clear who is contactable the second that funds are removed from a customers account. for users not familiar with booking.com, im sure it can be very frustrating navigating so-called "checkin instructions", with these being separated into multiple emails, ie the receipt then another email for check in, or having to download an app first or navigate thru the web interface .... it doesn't need to be and should not be so much drama. i have twice been given conflicting instructions at other properties, been outright scammed at another property ALSO after having already ubered there. .... i would love advice or input from other travellers on how to prevent this completely and what to do if this happens in future, even if no one was available to provide a key or access before check in time, what was awkward was not knowing who to call or if waiting for contact from the host was the best bet or if we had been caught in a scam or what to do really, all in the blazing sun and being a digital nomad also with basically all of our luggage and tech.
