About this chalet rental
Only 35 minutes from Ottawa. Located in Val-des-Monts in the Saint-Pierre-de-Wakfefield area, on the edge of Lac de l 'Écluse, this magnificent 4 bedroom, one-bedroom cottage offers breathtaking views of the lake.
In total, it can comfortably accommodate 8 peoples. At a depth of 140 feet, this large lake has clear and clear water that will refresh you in the summer, either by its sandy beach or by diving in via a large 12x12 dock. In addition, there are 3 types of trout and bass.
A cottage on a large, private, four-season, waterfront lot, where relaxation, fun and nature blend from the comfort of home. If you are looking for peace in a still wild nature...
*In winter, it is recommended and even essential to have a 4WD vehicle such (Rav4 style SUV, CRV or other 4x4). The last kilometers are on a snowy background with climbs to go up and down, there could be a storm or ice, we do not have control over the weather.

We had 5x adults and our 3 1/2 year old grand daughter and our 2x dogs with us for the week. Very quiet and terrific chalet with lots of room for all. Everyone enjoyed their time there and we would go back again in the future!

The cottage was well stocked with all basic amenities. Great views, nice private property on a beautiful lake. The water was very warm and comfortable for lots of swimming. The lights around the firepit made evenings enjoyable. The kids had so much fun jumping off the dock, fishing, exploring the lake and small islands.

The property is gorgeous, and the cottage is well equipped and totally functional.
We were there in the winter and there was a a problem with 2-wheel drive vehicles getting stuck. The contract and the French description of the house mentioned the need for 4x4 but it was an oversight in the English description. We should have read the contract more carefully, and I understand Stephane is updating the description. You DO need all-wheel-drive in the winter!
Despite this mix-up Stephane was a great host, very responsive and friendly. Would stay again!
