The air conditioner worked well, the foyer area was nice for going in and out of the house (place to set stuff, room to not be crowded), and the garage was usable which was great for my small boat. The house was also pleasantly tidy and not crowded with stuff. Otherwise, the house needed some attention. Some items were sent to the host due ng our stay, but response time was slow and for anything beyond the wifi password not effective.It's a nice place and hopefully the host takes my feedback I sent after our stay and makes some necessary updates.

The house is nice, roomy, as described! You can’t beat that view of the canal! We saw a lot of tortoises and enjoyed feeling like we were a bit more secluded instead of in a populated area. We really liked sitting on the back deck watching the birds and the canal all day! The stove is a bit outdated so if you like to cook big meals you’ll just need to be a little more patient as it takes a bit longer.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The house needs some general maintenance and fixing, for example the outside porch and patio roofs were leaking, and there are rotted boards on deck and dock. The kitchen could be better stocked with kitchen necessities, i.e. frying pans and baking pans.
