Holmfirth Hideaway

The accommodation was immaculate, decor very tasteful, the view from the decking area was very relaxing. The shower was just brilliant, the towels like you were in a luxurious hotel. We could not fault anything. Outside facilities were comfortable, but maybe a sunshade on the pagoda would have helped as we were getting record temperatures. However when you went back into the accommodation it was so pleasantly cool, resulting in excellent night's sleep. Altogether an amazing experience and we would come back.

We were warned about building work across the valley. It didn't particularly bother us, but it did diminish the lovely view a bit. We just learnt to sit down, then you couldn't see it.

The apartment was immaculate and clearly well thought out, Gorgeous decor and a kitchen that was equipt for every eventuality, without the cupboards being rammed. Great location for a walk to either the Stumble Inn, opposite and the Pickled Pheasant, down the road. Both very welcoming. Our dog was well catered for with treats and dog bed. He enjoyed the walk along the river into Holmfirth and around Digley Reservoir. Would highly recommend, if only for a sit in the garden to enjoy the incredible view.

Nithing to improve.

We loved the hideaway. We were disappointed we couldn't sit outside but the weather wasn't up to it and the barking dogs were a bit annoying. Inside was lovely. Clean, comfortable and relaxed.

Barking dogs. Don't get me wrong, I love them but it was constant. The only thing that spoiled our stay was checkout. It was meant to be 10am. That was fine for us and we were packed up. My Partner was just out of the shower and in his pants at 9.25, I was getting in. He heard a key in the door, no knock, and a lady, no idea who, came in. He shouted we'd be half an hour and she left. Made it uncomfortable

The design of the property has utilised the space very well. It was well furnished, all to at very nice specification and the added wee bits that’s were done for us.. all I can say is wow.. we both enjoyed our stay (partners 60th and GF dietary requirements) all was very kind and gratefully received. Thank you 🙏
