Perfect. Memories to last a lifetime.

This gorgeous place is utterly magical. Cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had. Terje is a wonderful host, helpful, kind and full of useful information. The house has everything you need and is beautifully decorated. The area is incredible - nature, solitude, mountains and water. And - best of all - we saw the Aurora every night from the terrace and from the floor to ceiling glass window. If you are travelling to Tromsø, this is THE place to stay. Absolutely wonderful.

Nothing left to be desired!

We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation! The host Terje, the fantastic house right on the beach, the view - everything was wonderful. We found the beach house well equipped, super clean and tidy, and attractively furnished. And we enjoyed the cozy fireplace. We had a great time there. Terje even “managed” to give us a cloudless sky on the first evening so we could see the fantastic Northern Lights, without any stress or heated insoles, directly from the terrace or even comfortably from the living room through the large windows. Don't miss this beach house!

...that we could only stay for four days. This is not a criticism, but you should be aware that the options for eating out at restaurants and shopping for groceries are limited in Brensholmen. Although there is a small grocery store (Joker) nearby, it is best to do your major shopping in Tromsø on your way to the beach house. This is especially true for people who like to enjoy a glass of wine by the fireplace :-).

Bucket List Holiday Home

The space is beautifully curated, with everything one would possibly need for a winter wonderland stay. As soon as you enter it feels so comfortable like home away from home. The host is exceptional - communication, information, knowledge of local area all 10/10. We were travelling with two young children - we initially had a lot of excursions booked, but we cancelled two upon our arrival as we were just so excited to explore the beach and sled around the house. The cosy interior with open floor plan and surrounding floor to ceiling windows make for the perfect space to watch for northern lights. The drive into Tromso is easy even when it is heavy snow, we had no issues and the scenic views are breathtaking. What a special find. Cannot wait to return!

Very cosy house by the sea with aurora views

The house of Terje is super cosy and we were sad that we had to leave after three nights. We lobed the location and the very tasteful interior design. It was very clean and we enjoyed warching Netflix in the evening after lots of snow tile during the day. Thank you Terje and I hipe we stay in touch!

A dreamy Arctic retreat in Brensholmen, Tromsø with unforgettable hospitality and breathtaking views

Our stay in Brensholmen, Tromsø, was nothing short of magical and Terje and his family made our trip truly special. In the lead up to the trip and throughout our actual stay, Terje was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The house itself was beautiful and cosy with great attention to detail and we felt right at home from the moment we walked through the front door. The kitchen and the entire house were also equipped with everything we could need. The highlight of our stay had to be the breathtaking views of Brensholmen beach from the house. The scenery was simply spectacular, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights on five out of the seven nights of our week-long stay, which was a dream come true. What really took us aback, however, was Terje's exceptional kindness and thoughtfulness. Prior to our arrival on New Year's Eve, he informed us about the supermarket closures on NYE and New Year's Day and even offered to do some grocery shopping for us. Terje also continued to check in on us throughout our stay, letting us know the best times to see the Northern Lights, where to park when snow was expected and just to see how we were enjoying our stay. Terje and his family's genuine care and effort to make our stay comfortable and memorable went above and beyond our expectations. Their hospitality turned a great trip into one of the most special and relaxing getaways we've ever had. We'd highly recommend Brensholmen Beach House and would love to return one day.

Perfect experience

The owner of this beautiful property is very friendly and provided us with a lot of valuable help. The house was warm and clean, the TV, audio and video equipments were advanced, the kitchen was complete, the bedroom was comfortable. Though the weather was not as good as we expected, the memories are unforgettable:)

Skynd jer at booke! Fantastisk sted, - både hus, komfort og location.

Perfekt beliggenhed for strand (hvis man er der sommer) og nordlys (i sæsonen for det). Dejligt hus, med fantastisk udsigt og de mest imødekommende ejere/udlejere, jeg nogensinde har oplevet. Der var gode instrukser til ankomst i høj sne, veje man skulle tage/undgå, indkøb, osv. Der var oven i købet fornødenheder i huset, - ikke at vi manglende noget, men hvis man lige mangler sukker, krydderier, ketchup, andet - så er det der.

Man skal huske på at det er et sommerhus, når man ankommer vinter. Der er sutsko, pigsko, varmepumpe, osv., men der ER koldt i Nordnorge. Det tog lidt tid før vi fik gennemvarmet huset, og brændeovnen skulle holdes i gang. Hyggeligt, men til den kølige side.

Komfortable Unterkunft in sehr schöner Lage mit guter Nordlichtchance

Diese Unterkunft ist aus unserer Sicht außergewöhnlich. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist zu jeder Jahreszeit wunderschön und das Haus ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet. Es wurde an so ziemlich alles gedacht, auch für das Nachfüllen von Verbrauchsartikeln ist gesorgt. Wir haben die Einrichtung und auch die Dekoration als sehr gemütlich empfunden und uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Dazu hat auch der unglaublich gut mitdenkende und sehr zugewandte Gastgeber beigetragen. Besser kann man es wirklich nicht machen, wenn man eine Unterkunft vermietet. Das war wirklich großartig! Wir konnten von der Terrasse aus Nordlichter sehen und haben unseren Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genossen.

Nordlichter, Meer, Ruhe und Kaminfeuer

Alles war perfekt. Wir hatten sehr schöne Tage mit Nordlichtern, entspannte Stunden vor dem Karmin und Spaziergängen im Schnee oder am Meer. Im Haus haben wir uns von der ersten Minute an sehr wohlgefühlt. Terje ist der perfekte Gastgeber, er hat uns mit allen notwendigen Informationen versorgt, tolle Empfehlungen zu Unternehmungen gegeben und uns herzlichst empfangen und verabschiedet.

Piękny dom, super miły gospodarz, przepiękna okolica

Dom jest duży i wygodny, a właściciel przemiły i pomocny. Zatrzymaliśmy się tam w 5 osób i duża kuchnia z salonem i jadalnią były niezwykle wygodne dla całej naszej grupy. Piękny widok z panoramicznych okien i tarasu. Udało się nam zobaczyć zorzę i renifery, na co bardzo liczyliśmy.

Super domek, oddalony od Tromso o godzinę, najbliższy sklep kilka minut drogi. Śliczny domek, dobrze wyposażony, w domku ciepło. Z domku widać zorzę a z tarasu można robić piękne zdjęcia zorzy.
