Wellness Stay in Private Home near beaches, rainforest and South Coast, 2 rooms booked separately

Bed very comfortable, dog very quiet and very friendly, Breakfast varied and assistance was given where it was wanted. Interesting house, pleasant setting and a homely feel.

The only unfortunate thing was the existence of stairs, but we chose to manage that for one night.

The patio, the pool, the hot tub and the sauna were great. The breakfast was cereal and blackberries, toast, bananas and apples. Eggs were unavailable.

The room was unacceptable. It was small with nowhere to put anything. We had to deal with our suitcases on the floor in a very cramped space. We had to leave our clothes on the floor at night as there was nowhere else to put them. The closet was filled with the owners' belongings. The bed sagged. In the morning, I discovered that the two cross boards underneath the mattress were not attached to both side rails! The ceiling fan was incredibly noisy no matter what speed I put it on. The owner advised it needed to be replaced! He turned the downstairs air conditioning on to try to cool our room, but then turned it off when he went to bed. Luckily it was a cooler night so we were able to open our window to breathe. However, the birds woke us up early as the window was open. We were only given one coffee in the morning as they had run out! It was as if the owners were completely unprepared for our visit and negligent in their maintenance. They shouldn't have rented this room.
