Mahalakshmi Homestay Kanchipuram

When I was in Kanchipuram one day I was staying at Mahalakshmi Homestay This homestay is actually very good. This place is better than a five-star hotel. 55 inch LED TV, Teak wood dining table, Recliner sofa, There is parking and free car Water service. My car was very dusty because of the rain. This made our driver very happy. We were also happy to stay at this place.

There are no flaws in this place.

The host was gracious and good natured. Helped us settle immediately. I faced no hassle at all at any point.

The location is isolated and I was fine only because we had our own car, otherwise it's difficult to navigate and reach this place through the small lanes. Bigger cars will struggle. Our room had almost no ventilation although there was a window (closed, couldn't open). The bathroom is a bit congested. For the price point, it seems a bit expensive.

The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It has a common area, perfect for family and friends. The owner is friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating - he even dropped us off at the bus stop early in the morning. He was also happy for us to check in and check out early. The homestay is a bit away from the city so you can enjoy a good night's sleep after exploring the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mahalakshmi Residency. Highly recommended.

The homestay is a bit away from the city and good restaurants but you can get takeaway / get an auto into the city.

The room was tiny but very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful.
