Casa Evangeline, luxury villa with ocean view

The villa is really very special. Very comfortable, well appointed. Lots of sun loungers which can be easily moved & 3 umbrellas which cannot due to very heavy stands. Great pool & overall the sort of place that everyone is happy to spend time in. The BBQ & outside eating was the best for us & Talho butcher in Lourinha is worth the trip alone! There are plenty of nice places to go--beaches, restaurants etc & all within 10-15 min car trip. The sea view is very worthwhile. The job man was good & responsive. The bottom line is that we were all sad to leave & really enjoyed the house. That has to say something.

The location is debatable. It is nowhere near any village, bar etc to walk to. The "beach" is 600m to a cliff & it needs a car to get down to the nearest which has a small restaurant with odd opening hours. There is a lot of building work in progress but not much happening during our week; worth checking. It will become pretty developed. There were no personal suggestions of places, beaches etc just internet pictures & no manuals to help. The Smeg coffee percolator needs a genius but there is a pod machine (please get a cafetière for the odd small coffee!). Rubbish needs taking to a big bin 500m away. The air conditioner in two rooms stopped working. Reported on Weds.; 3 visits but nothing done.

Wonderful villa with views of ocean. Beach was within walking distance but uphill on way back! Lots of wonderful beaches within easy drive. Villa exceptionally well equipped. Lourinhã nice little town nearby. Magnolia cafe excellent for breakfast. Good sushi restaurant too. Grandchildren loved the dinosaur park and the models round the town. Beach umbrellas were also appreciated. Liked the welcome pack and useful information from friendly host.

Un lugar genial! De paso entre Lisboa y Porto nos encontramos con Casa Evangeline! Una noche en familia en un lugar perfecto! La vista al mar es genial en la mañana! Lastimosamente no pudimos aprovechar del mar ni de la piscina, bastante viento y el clima aun un poco frio para nosotros! Sin duda volveremos!

No haber tenido mas tiempo para aprovechar de este lugar mágico! Un poco retirado de la ruta principal, per una vez en el lugar la vista y el acomodamiento nos hicieron olvidar este pequeño bemol!
