    This place surprised me. I was expecting the usual SOMA hotel, but it was far from that the recent renovation has the rooms very clean and spacious, the atrium was great to give it the outdoor but safe feeling. The staff were all great and the onsite valet parking was a fantastic bonus. The only issue was the lack of any air conditioning or fans to move air through the room. Definitely would stay here again

    This hotel was converted from apartments so there is a living room and separate bedroom which is very nice. Parking was expensive but safe. The breakfast is in the restaurant and only provides a $10 voucher which gets you a piece of toast and a slice of bacon. There is no mini fridge in the room so keep that in mind.

    Check-in was the highlight of my stay. The staff member who handled my arrival went above and beyond — welcoming, professional, and genuinely attentive. Unfortunately, that level of service did not carry through with the rest of the staff, who would benefit from additional customer service training. The room itself was bare-bones. Clean enough, but very minimal, with no thoughtful extras. The listing photos also appear outdated and do not accurately reflect the current condition or feel of the rooms. Breakfast was disappointing. Calling it “breakfast” feels generous — options were extremely limited and left a lot to be desired. One major downside was the security deposit. It was steep and took a full week to be refunded, and I had to call to find out what was going on. That process should be far more transparent and timely. The neighborhood was lackluster and not particularly inviting. That said, given the current state of many hotels in San Francisco — some of which are genuinely unpleasant — this property was not the worst option. If this hotel were located in another city, it would likely be considered below average, but in the context of San Francisco, it lands somewhere in the middle. Overall: acceptable, but with clear areas that need improvement.
