The front porch of the Cottage is perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Or enjoy sitting in the yard at the Cottage to enjoy some peaceful time and watch for deer in the neighborhood. Being located in one of the Historical District of San Marcos allows you to admire many Victorian homes that have been preserved on a walk in the neighborhood. An added bonus is the Cottage is on the property of a Victorian House built around 1890.

Title: An absolute gem! Exceeded all our expectations.Review: Perfect getaway for couplesThis place really checked all the boxes on our list of places to stay—and then some! From start to finish, our stay was so much more than we could have expected.Judy is an absolute delight and an excellent host. She is incredibly friendly and approachable, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We felt like we had total privacy and could completely unwind. One of our absolute favorite highlights was the beautiful wrap-around porch. We loved sitting out there in the mornings and evenings, just relaxing and watching the local wildlife—we saw plenty of birds, deer, and even a gray fox!The accommodations were wonderful. The kitchen was very clean and perfectly equipped for our needs. There was ample space to park our vehicle in the shade.Honestly, the atmosphere here is so perfectly hospitable and relaxing that it was hard to tear ourselves away to go enjoy the town and our family activities. If you are looking for a peaceful, spotless, and welcoming getaway in San Marcos, look no further. We enjoyed every single minute of our leisure time here and cannot recommend Judy’s place enough!

It was perfect for my visit to see my kids at college. Close by and cute area! Nice area for a hilly run in the morning too! Such a beautiful area!

Host greeted us upon arrival and visited a few times and was very cordial. Kitchen was fully stocked and clean. All appliances were functioning. Parking was off street and accessible. Room was clean and appropriately furnished. Enjoyed covered porch.

House was clean loved the porch. Wish we didn't have to physically wait for the owner to allow access to the house as a code or key should just be there at my convenience arrived early 1:00 ISH & check-in was 3 BUT COULD NOT ACCESS UNTIL OWNER WAS AVAILABLE had to drive around kill
