About this house rental
You are going to love the charm and comfort of our home. You’ll be located on a quiet tree lined street in a walkable neighborhood, close to restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops. Street or driveway parking makes arrival a breeze. The main level of the home boasts 2 bedrooms, one of which can also serve as an office with a dedicated workspace. The master commands the entire upper level of this Cape Cod style home. The deck is a perfect place to unwind in the fenced backyard.
The space
Head upstairs to the master suite, covering the entire second floor. Queen bed, multiple storage options, smart TV and an en suite half bath make this retreat hard to leave.
The dining room table has seating for 4, but the leaf allows comfortable seating for more. Additional dining chairs and a highchair are available if needed. Off the dining room is the kitchen, complete with gas range, microwave, coffee maker, blender and fully stocked with supplies to cook any meal you can think of, variety of additional small appliances also available for use.
The living room is also off the dining room, home to a large sectional and a smart TV ready for your next cozy movie night. Media console is stocked with games for kids and adults.
The master bath is off the short hallway from the dining room, where you’ll find everything you need for a hot bath and a fluffy towel after. Hall linen cabinet houses extra linens, bath and body products for your use and a hair dryer. Off the same hallway are two bedrooms. One bedroom is setup with a full bed, and blackout curtains, while the second has a twin daybed and a designated workstation, plenty of dresser/closet storage in both.
The mud room has cubbies, hooks and baskets to keep all of your belongings organized. In the same room is a well-appointed playroom stocked with toys and craft supplies for all ages.
Don’t forget to head downstairs to the basement! There you will find the washer and dryer, additional kitchen supplies, and a small home gym with weights and a bike. Have kids? They will LOVE the ninja course to get some energy out.
Head outside to the lounge chairs, outdoor dining table and gas grill on the back deck. With the string lights and plenty of extra seating, it’s perfect for summer entertaining! The fully fenced backyard has tons of room to play with any of the toys hiding in the deck box or try your balance on the slackline.

This was our 2nd stay at this cute home! We will be staying again! They are dog friendly, but you would not know that when inside. The house is clean and tidy. No evidence of past pets. If we had kids, this house is built for them. A playroom and more. The proximity to Drake University is perfect! It's about a 4-minute drive straight down and made it easy for us to come and go as many times as we wanted while visiting our student for the weekend. This booking I had to ask for a couple changes as I had messed up on my end. They were so easy to work with and took great care of me. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Thanks for a great stay! We love the quiet neighborhood. Took several nice walks. We moved our son into Drake. It was a straight shot down Forest Ave and we were at his dorm in couple minutes. We had to change up our days as I had made a mistake. They were so easy to work with. We already booked for our next Des Moines visit! The house is so cute and clean. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog and us not having to walk him late at night. If it was a little cooler, we would have enjoyed sitting outside!

Great stay! Hosts were friendly and responsive. Lots of fun things to do for the kids, beautiful big backyard. Rooms were nicely appointed. Neighborhood was awesome and central to everything - would definitely stay again!
