The Bend West Virginia

We greatly enjoyed our stay at The Bend. The house is nicely equipped, the hosts communicated with us and quickly answered any questions, and the deck is absolutely amazing. The location was very convenient as well. I would highly recommend staying here.

Our multi-generational extended family loved staying at The Bend! Our group of 11 had more than enough space with comfy beds and everything we needed including a game room with a ping pong table and exercise equipment. The house was spotless and included toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap, more than enough linens, and a fully stocked kitchen where we were able to prepare family meals for our crew. As wonderful as the inside of this house is, the back deck area is the true showstopper! The views from the back deck are absolutely incredible. We even saw a bald eagle fly by twice. We relaxed in the hammock and the rocking chairs on the deck while the younger ones enjoyed playing horseshoes and cornhole. The location is also close to plenty of hiking trails, several whitewater rafting outfitters, and not far at all to the New River Gorge Bridge and Canyon Rim Visitor's Center in the National Park. Hawk's Nest State Park is just around the corner and Babcock State Park is less than a half hour drive. We enjoyed visiting all of these places, but honestly the view from the back deck was just as good as anywhere else we went. Ryan was a terrific host and very quick to respond whenever we had a question. He even gave us lots of great recommendations on things to do and restaurants as we were planning our trip. We would definitely return again!

Fantastic property and location. The view is stunning, plenty of space for our group of friends to use it to rest and recover after white water rafting. Only thing I noticed was the beds weren’t listed as expected I’m not sure if it’s just out of date, but it was for the better where there was a bunk bed and more king size beds which I didn’t expect! Highly recommend this house, nothing beats an afternoon/evening on that back deck.

The house is a secret gem. The photos do not give this place justice! The deck is new and amazing. Has a grill and fire pit, no mention of this in the listing. There is way more beds and couches then the listing states too! Only negative, the listing says it has a nespresso machine but doesn't but has a ninja and keurig'. Otherwise this place is amazing.
