Falconhurst is a locally owned holiday let, lovingly cared for by the Southcombe family, who have lived in Robin Hood’s Bay for over 20 years.

The apartment is a newly renovated, spacious three-bedroom holiday home set over the first and second floors of Falconhurst, with a large kitchen and dining area, a comfortable lounge, and beautiful sea views across the bay. Guests also benefit from ample off-road parking and free high-speed internet via the village-run broadband cooperative.

By choosing Falconhurst, you’re not just booking a place to stay — you’re supporting a local family and contributing directly to the village community.

A home with a story:

Falconhurst was bought by Cliff and Ann Southcombe in 1999. When the family downsized, they created a fully self-contained three-bedroom apartment on the upper floors so others could enjoy the village as they had. Ann sadly passed away in 2024, and Cliff continues to live in the separate ground-floor flat with its own entrance. Their daughter Laura lives just across the road with her two young boys and now manages the holiday let.

We aim to strike the perfect balance: complete privacy for your stay, with the reassurance that the family is close by if you need anything at all.

We want guests to feel at home — and part of the Bay. When you book, you’ll receive a large, regularly updated personal guide full of local knowledge, favourite walks, places to eat, and interesting facts about the village and surrounding area.
During your stay, Laura also puts together a local events board, so you can see what’s happening while you’re here — from live music nights to village events and seasonal highlights.
