About this apartment rental
This super nice apartment is well located in the heart of Pasila. Next to the train hub of Pasila and along the tramline you can reach Helsinki center in 5 min and the airport with less than 30 min. Locating next to the biggest and newest shopping center Tripla, offer for leisure time or restaurants is really splendid.
Bedding is for 4 persons, this will be upgraded for 5 persons. Apartment is well equipped with large bathroom, terrasse, dishwasher, washing machine and storage room. No partys allowed.
1. NO NOISE, LOUD MUSIC OR PARTIES ARE ALLOWED.
Please respect the building's silent hours between 21:00 - 09:00. This is to respect our neighbors.
In case neighbors complain (with proof) of these strict house rules, we'll have to charge you a fine of 300€ + 50€/guest + all expenses like extra cleanings and damages. We compensate the damage to the neighbors. Noise reduction policy is only for avoiding parties, music, etc disturbing noises in houses - not for normal family life with children.
We report any drug-related misconduct to the authorities.
2. SMOKING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN both in the apartment and on the balcony (in Finland). Smoking is also forbidden in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance.
3. PLEASE LEAVE OUTSIDE SHOES ALWAYS AT THE ENTRANCE. This way we can keep the apartment carpets tip top condition for our fellow guests. This is also to respect the Finnish tradition.
4. PLEASE DO NOT LET THE KIDS JUMP ON THE SOFAS OR ON BEDS. They break easily.
5. PLEASE AVOID PUTTING TOO MUCH TOILET PAPER IN THE TOILET. Do not put any other material in the toilet.

Took me a while to find the correct entrance. I looked up the location on google maps as advised, it showed the front block. I had to contact the host as I got into the front building and couldn't find the flat. She was not available to come out, but explained that the correct entrance was in the block behind, which wasn't in the automatic welcome email.
The apartment is well appointed however for my stay I had only one towel, one pillow (a little musty), the bed was two singles put together (which started to come apart) and the duvet that didn't cover the whole bed. V disappointing, given I had paid the full price for the flat, so was expecting it to be furnished as if for the numbers the flat could accommodate. I also paid a week's cleaning for a weekend stay. I consider this doubly mean, especially as a single person has minimal wear and tear. I did no cooking, was out all day Saturday well into the evening. I was able to check out later than the scheduled time. Lovely sunsets from the 5th floor and v hot in early summer. Good Wifi and tv though some lamps had no bulbs.
I contacted the host re: these issues and although she said she was keen to sort it out, I have not heard back from my email over a month ago. A shame as her communications before I booked were v helpful.

"Central" is in the suburbs with little of interest around apart from the largest shopping mall in Helsinki.
