About this bed and breakfast
Charming private room on the third floor of a historic inn located in the middle of the historical district.
The room features a full size bottom bunk,Top bunk storage only a small fridge, a microwave, a coffeemaker, and complimentary coffee and tea.
*Please note- River View East does share a bathroom with the adjacent room on the third floor of the inn.
The shared bathroom is located on the second floor, down a short flight of stairs (we do not have an elevator due to the historic nature of the inn and the historical district).

Enjoy year-round dining, shopping, and lodging at the Town’s Inn (circa 1840) which is located just steps from the C&O Canal Towpath and Appalachian Trail and is in the heart of Harpers Ferry, a living history village situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, approximately 60 miles from our Nation’s Capital and Baltimore, Maryland. Harpers Ferry is a place for all seasons for many reasons and offers healthy historical activities, including bicycling, hiking, river sports, outdoor adventure parks, and museums. Harpers Ferry is located 8 miles away from Hollywood Casino which features several restaurants and “gaming” options in Charles Town, WV.
For guests that enjoy craft beers, Harpers Ferry Brewing is a kid friendly brewery located 3 miles from the inn and overlooks the Potomac River. Wine sommeliers can enjoy tastings at 40 local wineries in Harper’s Ferry and Loudon Co. Va. We offer customizable shuttle options and prepared picnic lunches/backpacks for guests who wish to enjoy several stops along the tour, please email Karan at [email protected] for more information about shuttle packages.
Located 22 miles away from Harpers Ferry, Frederick, Maryland is a popular destination to explore shops and restaurants in the downtown historic district. Civil War history buffs should plan to visit the Monocacy National Battlefield, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine, and the Roads and Rails Museum (family friendly!). Located 15 miles past Frederick, the Catoctin Wildlife Preserve and Zo is a 50-acre park featuring exotic animals and interactive exhibits.

Such a cute and cozy place!! We didn't get the chance to meet Karan, but her assistant was friendly and accommodating. The suite and bathroom downstairs were very clean. We only stayed a night and spent most of our time exploring the town and nearby trails - but with the small cafe downstairs, crafts for kids, and the covered balcony for sitting - the home itself could have accommodated a rainy day easily. Thank you for having us!

Great location with easy access to yrails and all the town has to offer. Room was great and had a nice feel, like stepping back in time. Great place for the night we stayed!
